Alrite there mate, i have got a mate with a 2002 astra g, 2 litre turbo. He's doing a brake upgrade and just wondered if these were the correct calipers for this upgrade as i cn have them for a very reasonable price (nothing lol).
Cheers Luke

If you can get a photo of the calipers i'll be able to tell you, i'm not sure what was fitted to the newer Astras.

Does this conversion rob much lock off the steering. I put in a tjm quickrack and am about to build up my front end and was wondering do i really need to limit the steering?

On my car i've found that the calipers clear the lower arms when the car is on it's wheels clearance only becomes an issue when the car is jacked up i.e. at MOT time. My car has been lowered 60mm so not sure about clearance on a standard hight car. i wouldn't recommend running without modifying the steering stops if the car is to be used for rallying as the suspension movement and amount of lock used could be an issue.

Interested in a set of the Brembo - type discs if available. Out of interest, what brake pads are people using with this upgraded setup? Does the standard master cylinder work correctly with the larger calipers?

Yep Brembo or equivalent are available, send me a PM :)

You can use any pad for the GSI calipers, standard or green/red stuff lots of manufactures do them.

Not heard of any Issues using the standard master cylinder.
