FAQ section
« on: January 08, 2012, 09:30:13 PM »
Would it be possible, and would be it worth while for us to a have board dedicated to frequently asked questions? such as; what is needed to fit a red top, what axle is best, where can i get a group 4 kit etcetc

Just to save on topics getting repeated?

Discus..... :-\

true, but i was tinking more for non cog members, so that the general discussion area doesnt keep getting the same topics/questions repeated over and over.

If there was a FAQ section then a non member could just click on and see if what they want to know has allready been asked and answerred.

Im not wanting to put people off posting, just thought it would be an easier way to do things?

Probably not a bad idea, and while we always answer Q's from none members the Manual is part of member benefits . . . . then again that alone won't sell membership.

Yeh thats worth considerring, but also by having a faq section and answerring non member questions etc then non members will hopefully see how much of an open and friendly bunch we are and decided to join to be one of us  ;D

Very good arguments from you both but we don't want to many sections in the non members area or they will just stay there won't they  ;) :cog:

I agree with Steve. If we all help the club by posting our own experiences or copying and pasting info in to the workshop manual section then it will become a definitive guide to everything relating to the Chevette. I can then add this to the list of reasons to join the club and people won't want to be stuck without it. To sidestep the reposting of new questions just kindly mention when replying that a quick go with the search box at the top can work wonders  :overexcited:

I have to say this might be a waste of time, lets be honest how many times have you ever used a FAQ section...........me never because I cant be arsed to troll through hundreds of questions till I get the answer I need..............just my opinion...........Ill get my coat
