Good job with the welding mate! those bodykits hide a lot of rust. which is usually why people put them on to begin with! :)

eeeerrmmm, the only few tips I can give is always make sure you are trying to weld to good clean steal, any form of rust or contamination causes poor welds (pain in the arse when seem welding the arches etc where there has been seem sealer) Make any repair panel as close a fit as possible the more time taken shaping etc makes it a lot easier to fit and weld, tack any panels into place around any new panel before seem welding to prevent distortion, keep the heat to a minimum when welding long runs to prevent distortion (take short pauses every inch or so) or weld in various areas to help disperse any heat through a panel. Last tip I can think of is make sure you see the weld "pool" penatrate both pieces of metal being welded. The more you do the better you will get so by the time I have finished blueblunder I should be an expert  ;)

That sounds like a plan . . . I'll probably build something else in an absurd timescale just for Billing  ;D God knows what but it will be a Chevette . . .I'm really liking the idea of building a "shorty" Chevette .  . . . take out the middle three feet or so (basically the door) which means sitting on the back seat to drive . . .and no roof  :o ;D
It's better to burn out than to fade away . . .
