So what dizzy do I have please ?
« on: Jun 06, 2017, 19:02:23 »
So, I'm looking a buying a accuspark electronic ignition system for the inside of my dizzy to replace the points etc but I don't now which one I have. The cap is brown and the capacitor is on the outside which makes me think it's a Bosch one but the only listing is delco.
So is it Bosch or delco?

Brown cap means you have a Bosch dizzy. AcDelco ones are black  - Scotty

Both types were fitted to Chevettes at various times. ( not sure of the dates ). There were also 2 types of each 1 with offset drive & the other with the drive dog in the centre of the shaft.
