New to Chevettes - Parts Needed!
« on: Jul 25, 2016, 07:15:08 »
Hi All,

Just picked up a Chevette L hatchback and I need a few bits for it.

Ideally I need sills both sides although the drivers side is more urgent, a drives side rear wheel arch and a set of wheels and tires.

As far as the wheels go I am open minded, may even just restore the original wheels it's sitting on but was hoping someone on here might have a cool set that I could just swap over.

New to Chevettes and I predominately a VW person but looki forward to getting it all on the road.

Thanks in advance, will update as I go!

Thanks

Adam

Welcome aboard, where abouts in the UK are you? Sill covers and rear arches are still available, some factors will still list them but for an Opel Kadett C as they are the same, you can also still get Klockerholm panels from Germany. I'm pretty sure I've got a new arch panels and a pair of sills - hence why I'm asking where you are. Any pics of your beastie as we do like pics on here  ;D

Ooh thanks for the info.

I am in London but happy to travel a bit to pick up the parts.

Where abouts are you?

Any idea on getting a cheap set of wheels?

Good condition standards or rostyles would both be fine.

Cheers

Adam

I'd have no problem waiting as it would be good to get to know one of you and get some Chevette insider info!

How much would you want for the two sills and the rear arch?

I am based in Essex/South West London.

Just found out that the two guys I used to use for getting work done on my classic cars have retired, any recommendations for garages to give it a tune up and do some welding/bodywork who don't mind working on the old stuff?
