Rear opening windows.
« on: Mar 26, 2017, 18:04:57 »
Hi all. Does anyone have the link for the clips for holding the opening rear windows in place. I think they come from Germany and are listed for the Kadett.

Thanks.

Does anybody know the best way of attaching the new ones to the windows?

The German two sided  ones just push onto the glass using a rubber grippy lining.  The originals can be glued on with the bond used to hold mirrors to windshields.  Ordinary super glue doesnt work very well. - Scotty

What is this rubber trippy thing? I need to do mine, I have bought the clips from that link but my window fitter seems dubious about fitting them

Its just a square of rubber material which you stretch a bit over the glass edge then push the clip onto the glass then when the rubber relaxes the clip is gripped to the glass pretty firmly.  It should be included with the clips. I have found that the glass does drop a little after a while and needs pushing back up.
